If you have read my blog before, you may have noticed I work with a store called Bohemian Finds every so often. For those who haven't, Bohemian Finds is a Northampton based shop specialising in vintage inspired clothing. They stock much loved pinup brands such as Voodoo Vixen, Hell Bunny, Banned Apparel, Collectif and more. I also love the fact there is a large array of sizes from 6 to 26. Me and Gretchen share a big love of vintage fashion and we both believe difference is something to be celebrated. So we wanted to collaborate on a Live Window Display to not only showcase the new summer collection, but to also let others know how beautiful they are too.

On the 18th June, as well as having our pinups outside the shop meeting and greeting the lovely clients, we also had the shop window brimming with the beauties modelling the stunning new pieces perfect for the (hopefully) upcoming sunny weather. Our models were Elicia, Kitty W, Khandie Khisses, Alicia Wolfe, Kittle Le Creme, Honey Malone, Ashleigh and myself. The models ranged from professional to our very own clients. We all had very different looks, including a varied array of hair colour, height and we wore clothes from a size 8 to 18.
After hair was done and the ladies had tried all their outfits the entertainment started, for the display we based our six sets on different themes, the first was cherries, the second under the sea, the third nautical, the fourth tropical, the fifth Prom and the sixth floral.

While the customers shopped till they dropped, as well as styling our models hair, the beautiful Sidonie from Aurora Loves offered hair and make up sessions. The atmosphere was brilliant, and smiles lit the room as everyone realised and basked in their pinup beauty. Sidonie was a pleasure to work with, she was friendly, professional and worked magic with her vintage styles.

As each model finished their set in the window, we alternated, taking turns to visit outside the store, handing out flyers, telling people about what we do and enjoying our very own Pinup Popup studio that passers by found excitement in joining in with. Our Model Khandie Khisses owner of Khandie Photos also acted as photographer, and when not luring people into store in the window, like a mermaid luring sailors in at sea (but to a better fate of course), she could be found catching special moments of our special day. Khandie suited our event perfectly, not only is she a talented photographer, but she is inspiring at making people feel beautiful, and that was a mission we all jointly shared.

It was a joy to talk to people who didn't know about the store or thought they could never wear the dresses inside, until seeing women of all shapes and sizes wearing them. We are so proud with our event, everyone was amazing to work with, the store was being and the customers were friendly and happy. There was dancing, silliness, laughter and pretty dresses, what more could we ask for.
