I am a terrible dress addict, it is a very rare occasion you will see me not wearing one. I feel my best in a beautiful dress and I love that there are so many styles that I can wear them all year around. When it comes to finding the perfect dress for your beach getaway however, things can be a little tricky, You want something that is pretty, but also something that will still be comfortable to wear in the heat and of course won't get messy easily as you lay around the sand and take part in any water activities.

I have kindly been sent this Spot Button Shirt Dress from JD Williams, just in time for my holiday. If you follow my social media pages, you will see I am writing this post in the middle of my holiday in Poole, The sun has been shining ( in between the showers of rain) and it has given me the perfect opportunity to test out just how suitable this dress is for a beach getaway.

The Spot Button Shirt Dress is navy blue with white polka dots, sleeveless shirt dress. It is made from polyester and has metallic white buttons tailing down the front full length. It also has two double breast detailing and the waist is elasticated to nip in at the waist.

With this dress sporting a higher neckline than I usually would go for, I opted to size up to accommodate the fuller breasts. Also the material does not have a lot of stretch so I found choosing the size 20 provided the best fit for the curvier figure. The length 94cm and I am 5,8, this meant the dress was flattering and well suited for its purpose ending just above my knees, this length complimented my curves and made it light to move in.

This JD Williams Dress is comfy, smart and pretty to wear for many different occasions. It can be worn casually and stylishly on the beach while enjoying the sun, you can wear it over some legging when the weather is a little nippy or add a belt and jewellery and it can also be worn when going out.

I am so happy with this cute dress and all of its styling possibilities. It is light and comfortable to move around in the warm weather and it was, surprisingly, still clean after a day in the sand and crabbing at the beach.
