Tiffany Dress - Dolly and Dotty Review

I have always wanted a red polka dot dress, but for some reason I have never owned one before. When I spotted this Dolly and Dotty Tiffany dress pop up on my screen, and on a nice little sale, I knew I had to make it mine. I have had a few Dolly and Dotty dresses, that had always been great quality so I didn't need much more convincing to buy that dress.

I love 50s swing dresses as I know they flatter my figure and make me feel confident with my curves. With swing dresses there are so many differences in variety and style that I could never get bored of them, however, something that does worry me is sleeves. They often look beautiful on dresses, and give them something a little different, but being a plus size, when choosing a dress with sleeves I have to go through, the 'will this fit in my size?' Or 'do I need to size up to consider my larger arms?' And this can be rather off putting.

The Tiffany Dress is a red with white polka dots 50's swing dress, with three quarter length sleeves. It has a low v-neckline with a white wrap-over collar and a full circle skirt. The fitted waistband is complimented by a thick white removable belt, that nips in the waist perfectly, creating an hourglass figure.

I opted to trust Dolly and Dotty's sizing and went for my normal size 18. I was pleasantly surprised when I slipped on this beautiful dress, the arm fitting was not an issue at all, every part of this dress fit perfectly. It is made from a soft cotton, which does have a slight stretch to it. The length was also spot on, falling just below my knees, which I think is also flattering on a plus size as it created for longer looking legs, I should probably point out that I am 5,8 in height, so this will obviously differ on each person. I was also impressed with the zip hidden on the right hand side, it was comfy enough not to cause the struggle and sometime damage you get when fighting with thinner zips on dresses, but it was not so thick that it stuck out.

The Dolly and Dotty Tiffany Dress is available in a size 8 to 24, and is available on the Dolly and Dotty Website. I absolutely loved this dress and I love that fact that it looks stunning with or without a petticoat depending on the look you are going for.

Thank you for reading my post, I do hope you will treat yourself to a beautiful little dress from Dolly and Dotty and feel as fabulous as I do wearing it. Do comment and let me know if you have any, and what you think of them.
