I am afraid I am not the most up to date lady around, I couldn't tell you any celebrity gossip, I couldn't tell you who's in the charts (Is that still a thing?) and I couldn't tell you the latest fashion trends. I can, however, tell you about beautiful dresses, and I could talk to you about them until the cows come home. Finding the right dress can make you feel beautiful and confident.  I have so many people message me, telling me how they would love to wear 'That' dress but can't, but believe me, you can.

I have many favourite and trusted brands that I often shop with, but sometimes a dress just stands out and catches my eye. Dresses like these makes you want to try something new, even if it might seem a little risky. This Stripe Skater dress comes under this category. I often worry when looking at a brand working with celebrities if they will consider the plus sizes among us, So I was delighted to get a chance to find out.

The Myleene Klass Stripe Skater Dress is a little more modern than my usual choice, but it still has a classic feel to it that appealed to me. It is a black and white striped dress in a Skater cut. This means it is fitted at the waistline and then flairs out over the hips, it falls to mid-thigh length and has a full circle skirt. This style is feminine and figure hugging making it perfect for many different shapes and sizes.

It's very difficult when you order from a new brand, to work out how their sizing fits. I sometimes find I have to size up to fit my bust comfortably, but the problem can then be that it can look saggy at the waist. I opted for a size 18 in this dress. While it fit comfortably, it was a little too snug on the breasts, but not snug enough to provide support without a bra, at least not without giving an unusual shape. However, I do not think it was something that others would notice, but more in the feel of it. So if you prefer a floatier feel I suggest sizing up, as this fabric does not give much wiggle room. Though don't let this put you off, as if you like a figure hugging fit, this dress will show off those curves in an elegant and flirty way, making it suitable for a casual summer day, or a fun night out.

The Stripe Skater dress is available in a size 8 to 20 and thanks to the Love The Sales website I found, it is now in the Very Sale. It is always wonderful to find sales when you are looking to try something new, as it feels like less of a risk. So why not pop on over and see what you can find, or even give this little beauty a whirl.
