I am finding it very hard to stay calm as I write this. Usually I would try and tell you as much as I can about the product I am reviewing, the ingredients it's created from and then finally finish with my opinion on it, but right now all I can think is 'eeeeek I am so in love!'. I do not want to ruin the end of the story, but I am so head over heels for this new Lush Bubble Bar, that I can barely contain myself.
Ladybird Bubble Bar is a new product released for Mothers Day 2016. When I first saw it, I was swept with a feeling of cheer and adventure. This little bug embodies a playful spirit and magic. To me, this cute red and purple bubble bar announced that spring was coming, and that good times were ahead. When I first read the ingredients however, I didn't know what to make of it, a mixture I could never imagine, but maybe that added to the excitement.
When I finally got to meet my pretty lady, I was not disappointed. Though maybe a little strange, the scent is stunning and everything it should be. It is created from a mixture of restorative Geranium Oil and invigorating Peppermint Oil. This fragrance compliments the appearance perfectly, reminding me of picnics in the park, while the sun shines, warming my skin and a refreshing wind blows through my hair. The peppermint does not over power the geranium as you may expect, but instead brings out the sweeter notes of it, creating this almost candy and sunshine aroma. Its scent is very different than anything I have smelt form Lush before, and I absolutely adore it.
Having these colours to play with meant that once crumbled under running water, the bath could turn from a vivid to a deep red, depending on how it is mixed. I split mine as this bar is large enough to keep for another time. Using the back red part, my bath was turned from a dreary plain day to a beautiful bright spring morning, covered with a blanket of soft, cloud like bubbles. Sinking in I felt I had flown away with this ladybug and she had surrounded me with flowers and nature. The bewitching perfume was just as captivating in the water and I blissfully savoured this happy moment for as long as possible.
After my bath I felt wonderful, not only was my skin moisturised and still scented by the product, but I also felt refreshed, relaxed and cleanse. The Ladybird bubble bar is perfect for when you are feeling warn down and tired, this chirpy little creatures helps you see the world with child like wonder and appreciate the smaller joys in life. If I could describe myself with a Lush bath product, this would be it, this simple and slightly strange bug with a sunny disposition. She represents exactly how I like to live my life and I am happy to have found a little bathing companion who understands.
