Blackberry Bath Bomb - Lush Review - featuring The Sunnyside Bubble Bar

The Blackberry Bath Bomb is one of the simple beauties at Lush. It has a very limited amount of ingredients in it, a simple design and a pure but powerful smell. This Bath bomb is stripped back and bare, showing that beauty comes in all forms and it can always surprise you.

This bath bomb is a beautiful shade of deep purple with 'Bomb' etched on the front of it. The smell is simply stunning, a blend of Frankincense and Bergamot Oil. Not only does this relieve tension and uplift the spirits but also slows down your breathing. Slowing down your breathing has many health benefits such lowering blood pressure, improving circulation and leaving you in a relaxed but alert state of mind.

Sharing its scent with some of my favourite Lush products such as The ComforterSweetie Pie and You Snap The Whip it is clear to see why this bath bomb has been around for such a long time and why people are continuing to purchase it.

Though I like the idea of this Bath Bomb being about purity, simplicity and being natural, I also find the emphasis of the word Bomb is very appropriate. Once dropped in the bath it doesn't take a second for it to reach the end of its fuse and spark into action. It instantly shoots off, bubbling and spinning, a really quick fizzer which takes only a couple of minutes to fully dissolve.
The water is transformed into a delightful purple, with streaks of raspberry red scattered through out it. The delicious fruity/floral fragrance is spread through the room and it ends with one final little surprise. A small piece of paper erupts from the centre of what was our Bomb with the wording 'Boom Boom'. I love these little touches from Lush, Though some people may find them pointless I think it shows how much they have thought about their product and customers, it shows how much they want to please and appeal to all our senses.

I really enjoyed this bath, it was wonderful to unwind in this dazzling aroma while the steamy water eased my aches. It left my skin feeling soft and the fragrance lingered in the air and on my skin for hours. Even after I had retreated to bed and right through till I had woken up fresh and brighter the next morning.

This Bath Bomb is perfect for days when you're over worrying and can't calm yourself enough to clear your mind. It is great to use if your suffer from anxiety or depression. It will help relax and comfort you after a busy time, ready to focus on whats to come next.

If you want to spice up this Bath even more why not make it into a little cocktail, I chose to add the Sunnyside Bubble Bar, which added a luxurious layer of bubbles and turned the water a magical shimmering gold. If you would like to hear more about the Sunnyside Bubble Bar check back next blog where I will be reviewing it to.
